Who we are
The Accessible Mind was birthed from Shanaya Gordons’ long journey with her own mental health. She discovered the wonders of meditation and yoga in 2017 after reading a book on meditation. This wasn’t a linear road for her. After about a year Shanaya’s practice wasn’t as consistent as it once was. In 2022, Shanaya was introduced to Mindfulness as a concept by her therapist, aside from meditation and yoga. Her world was forever changed. She fell in love with how much it changed her life and wanted to teach other how life changing this practice truly is. She went on to take a course in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. As well as becoming a certified Mindfulness Meditation Instructor. She also received her certificate in Mindfulness Coaching. She is currently taking her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training certification. She has her speciality course lined up to complete right after that in Yin & Restorative yoga. As you can see Shanaya Gordon is extremely passionate about how mindfulness can impact ones life and she wants to share it with the world.
