FAQs

Common Questions

What is Restorative Yoga?

Restorative Yoga is a holistic preventative and curative practice. Because of the unique pacing and postures of a Restorative Yoga, the practice has profound impact on both mental and physical health. When we engage in this practice, we are teaching our nervous system how to release contraction and to feel safe coming into deep states of rest that support repair, rejuvenation, & resilience. Whether an aliment feels rooted in mind or body, restorative yoga allows us to hold space for healing and move forward refreshed. We are developing a nervous system with a buffer, while strengthening our psychological immune system. Postures are held anywhere from 3mins - 20min to invite relaxation to bodies and nervous system.

Who can benefit from Restorative Yoga?

Restorative Yoga is for everyone. That is what makes this practice so beneficial. No experience is needed to try a restorative class. Postures are meant to bring comfort.

No effort, just ease.

What do I need for class?

An open heart, a willingness to invite rest in. Props along with your yoga mat are helpful for this practice.
